Goodbye Boy's Season....

Ok, so we got a tad bit busy through the end of boys season. Hence the no posting. Let's see, a frozen gatorade incident, a split lip in soccer, a broken clavicle, vomiting... tons of fun! The Trailblazer boys (the oldest group in camp) gave their Vespers (or reflections) and made us all cry. It was really sweet.

Boys before their speeches.
We finally got to the end of boys season last Sunday, and had our final rodeo! The parents came to watch their kids participate in events such as barrrel racing, keyhole, polebending, egg-and-spoon, musical mares (musical chairs on horseback - really fun), water balloon toss, dance contest (Lenz could teach a Michael Jackson dance class), and team roping. It was nice to meet the parents that raised such nice (and hilarious) kids. I think they got weirded out that we kept saying we loved their children. But it was true. It's a week later and I still miss them :(

Alex, Callen and Chris - 100% goofy.
Ben and Jake, best buds and bros.
George and Paul. Grown men in small bodies.
Kit, leading our staff into the TVRC brand.
See? Pretty dang good.

Infirm girls keeping them hydrated and slathered with sunscreen!
Johnny. So photogenic, it's not even funny.
Webby and our daily visitor John. This is me and John's favorite video.
 Clarks.
Chase, lunch buddy.
Henry, our "Rrrrrooodeo" clown, just sprayed our photographer Nina with water, soaking her jumbo expensive camera. Oops.

 Lawson, our little buffalo. BUFFALO!!!
George, the one day you DON'T wear your vest.
Roping champs, seniors on the left, juniors on the right.
To steal Katie's quote, "Pierson and his ladies." The sweetest boy ever.
Wally and Stephen. 66% of the Infirmary Fan Club.

We had Monday off, then girls came Tuesday morning. It's like running a marathon, we just can't stop. If I were running one by myself, I'd stop frequently... Pegah knows this. It was great having a lot of returning girl campers - not a whole lot of work to remember names. :) Today is rodeo Sunday, which means we started our day sleeping in, ate cinnamon rolls, yogurt and granola (best homemade granola you'll ever have in your life). We're off soon to Sunday lunch: grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Then RODEO! and finally ending our day with Staff dinner - bbq served by the staff and then ice cream. Our kitchen is so great this summer it's hard to think of anything other than the food. I have made it my mission to start taking more photos of the girls and the area here to make you all jealous. :) Save me a spot by the pool, I'll be home in less than a month!!!
